Here you will find the ring gauges you need to accurately measure your ring size. Whether you're looking for an engagement, wedding or any other ring, our gauges and measuring rings sets will help you determine the correct size for your finger. When you return them (except for atypical gauges), their cost will be deducted from your final ring order or sent to your bank account. Unfortunately, with regard to customs clearance, this only applies to customers from the European Union. Here are the answers to your most common questions:
This is one of your most common questions when choosing rings. And we have a simple solution for you. Use our ring gauge test kit, which we'll be happy to send to your home. Use it to measure your size conveniently at home. We offer the sets in different widths and designs - both with a flat inner side and with an inner curve (comfort fit). Of course, we can also send you more sets to try on.
When choosing a gauge set, make sure it is the same width as your future ring. A narrow ring (e.g. 2 mm) fits differently than a wide ring (e.g. 7 mm). In general, the wider the ring, the larger the size needed. That is why you will find measuring sets from 2 to 7 mm here.
It depends on what type of ring you are planning. If you are going to have a ring with a flat inside, choose a gauge with the same type of design. If the ring will have an inner rounding (comfort fit), choose a gauge with this rounding. Generally, internal rounding is recommended for wider rings so that the skin under the ring doesn't wrinkle and sweat too much and the ring is more comfortable to wear. Of course, it also depends on the type of finger. Everyone fits and suits something a little different and it's best to try it out in person. You can order both types of gauges and see which one suits you better.
Plastic gauges are ideal for basic orientation. However, if you are planning a ring with gemstones or a ring made by combining multiple materials, we recommend that you verify the size measured with plastic gauges with a metal gauge, which is more accurate. For these types of rings, it is more difficult to adjust the size later. We offer metal gauges in the exact width and size.
For this purpose, we also offer atypical metal gauges that replicate the specific shape of these rings (e.g. raised head or curved shape). Due to their individual production, they are not returnable.
The size of the finger changes during the day. In the morning the finger may be smaller, in the evening it may be swollen. We therefore recommend trying the gauges at different times of the day, preferably in the morning and evening. Fingers also react to temperature, stress or physical activity.
Try the gauge more than once and in different conditions. It should go over the knuckle, but at the same time it should not slip. If you are hesitating between two sizes, we recommend choosing the smaller one, as it is generally better to resize rings larger than smaller.
Plastic measuring sets in different widths (2 - 7 mm) - the test bands are either flat (standard fit) or rounded on the inside (comfort fit, from 4 mm wide)
Metal gauges for more accurate measurements
You choose the appropriate measuring set according to the width and type of inner side.
You order the gauges and test them at home - ideally over several days and at different times (e.g. morning and evening).
After you have tried them on, send us back the plastic and metal gauges (except for the atypical gauge) and we will deduct their price (excluding shipping) from your final ring order or send them to your bank account. Unfortunately, with regard to customs clearance, this only applies to customers from the European Union.
